Make Your Own Winter Lotion Bars

Does the cold, winter air make your skin itch? Are you sick of your lotion freezing in your car?

We go through so much lotion every winter. If I forget mittens or a scarf, any exposed skin (hands, face, neck) dries the second I go outside. By the time I would realize it, I was already driving away from home. So I got in the habit of keeping a bottle of lotion in my car. But when winter rolls around, it freezes! I would throw the bottle on the heater. but it would never be melted by the time I got wherever I was going.

When I found this recipe I was elated! A lotion that can be used at any temperature!!! Just hold in in your hand for a second or two and you have ready-to-use lotion. That plays double duty with the essential oils-more energy, relaxing, motivating-you choose!

2/3 cup Beeswax pellets

1 cup Solid Coconut Oil

1 tsp Vitamin E Oil

15 drops CPGT Essential Oil

Measure the beeswax and coconut oil in a large glass measuring cup. Place the measuring cup in a saucepan with 1-1.5" of boiling water over low heat. Stir ingredients until combined. Once melted, remove from heat. Let rest 1-2 minutes. Add in Vitamin E Oil and CPTG essential oils. Stir to combine. Pour mixture into silicone mold and let harden. (Put them outside in winter, or in the freezer to speed up the hardening process. )

*Recommended Essential OIls: Citrus Bliss, Cheer, Motivate, Lavender
