Surprise the Surgeon!

Sounds pretty amazing right?

About 10 years ago I started learning about natural ways to support our health. Its been a fascinating journey and I love sharing our stories because this is how I learned about them in the beginning.

Connecting with other moms, doctors, holistic health practioners and listening to the calling within me that was so drawn to this world.

Homeopathy captured my attention because of the level of care from its practioners. I felt rushed through other healthcare models. Barely enough time to ask a couple questions, let alone my whole list of questions.

Being rushed out the door with a prescription, when I didn't feel heard, understood, nor my issue looked at as part of the bigger picture of what I was experiencing. Especially when I had tried that prescription before with no improvement in my symptoms.

There was no getting to the root of the issue, just as I later learned suppressing the symptoms at all cost. Well suppressing the symptoms doesn't equal health. Your body is sending a message and will just find a different way (usually deeper, more serious the more it is ignored) to express it.

My first foray into this world was purchasing a First Aid kit of homeopathic remedies. I had just begun to learn about homeopathy after finding an amazing legend of a Homeopathic Veterinarian.

He had spent 20 years as a conventional vet, and then went back to school to become a Homeopathic Vet, of which he had 20 years experience in that world too. Combined he had over 40 years of experience in his field. He knew his stuff.

So of course when this kit arrived I busted it open and started reading the guidebook cover to cover. I wanted to be ready when anything came up.

One of the remedies was titled, "Surprise the Surgeon." It helps heal bone injuries quickly to where the surgeon is surprised there has been so much healing taking place.

Well even though I would have rather never put this one to the test, I'm thankful to say, its taken 10 years.

As soon as my daughter fell, I grabbed the book, looked it up, and got the remedy going in her.

After a month of being in her cast, we got to see how she's healing. And guess what, I heard a lot of surprise in the doctor's voice.

"Look here, see how the bones are really wide here. This means this was a big deal to her body. Her body took this seriously. Look at how much bone has been laid down! (Her bone was almost doubled in width.) This is incredible! She's healing so well."

Yep, there you have it folks! We surprised the surgeon!
